A few of my clients have been kind enough to write a few words about the service I offer.  Please have a read through, or if you would like to add a review of your own, please click on the link at the bottom of the page.

"Lisa provided postnatal support after the birth of my second son. The services Lisa provided were: Childcare for both of my children. Preparing light meals Doing light housework; Washing, ironing, making beds, answering any questions and providing emotional support about breastfeeding, birth and childcare."

"Not only did Lisa look after my children like her own, she was also a great support to me. I was worried about my first son and how he'd take to his younger sibling but I needn't have worried as Lisa made the transition for all of us very easy. She is very personable and offers all kind of useful advice. I rate Lisa highly and my first son still asks about her which shows how well she fitted in with our family. I am sure anybody using Lisa Head Doula support will be very happy with the service provided."

Sophie - July 2009 (postnatal)

"The birth of our twins Morgan And Olivia would not of been the same without Lisa, Lisa has a very calming nature and did here upmost to make our wishes in labour go 'as planned' which believe me, is not easy when expecting twins and wanting use homeopathic remedies with as little interference as possible. Lisa you were Great and we cant thankyou enough for all your help and advice through the birth and post natal period. Many Thanks again Tracey And Jon."

Tracey - April 2009 (birth)

"Having Lisa there made me feel in control.........I'm sure that I wouldn't have felt so calm, and that things wouldn't have gone so smoothly without her.  She was also invaluable in getting the house back to normal!"

"Lisa took away a lot of the stress of having a new baby in the house and helped ease me into my new role of caring for two children.  She was also a big hit with my daughter!"

Vicki - June 2009 (birth and postnatal)

"The back massages were a God send and knowing someone was there to fetch food and water while my husband stayed by my side was very reassuring.

Lisa helped show me how to breastfeed.  She also told me what an amazing thing I had done which made me feel proud of myself.

Lisa came to visit afterwards and reassured me that I was doing a good job.  Helped me not to worry about the baby's weight.  And gave me super valuable info on breastfeeding."

AF - October 2009 (Birth)

"The best thing about Lisa is that she knew what would be useful and needed when I didn't and she either offered or just got on with it.... I can't imagine this would be the case if a family member were helping out as you would still feel obliged to entertain them as a guest."

Annette - January 2010 (postnatal)

"Lisa has been a rock to us......I felt Lisa was giving me full support of my choice.  I also felt I could lean on her for support without feeling bad doing so.  In all and amazing, kind woman."

February 2010 (Birth)

"We decided to ask Lisa to support us during the birth of our third baby.  Following our first meeting with Lisa, and entirely thanks to the conversation we had, we decided to try for a home birth.  It was the best decision we could have taken.  Thanks to Lisa's [guidance] on approaching labour naturally, I managed to have a calm, gentle birth using hypnotherapy techniques until the very last stages to control the pain.  Our daughter arrived into a lovely, calm home environment where we had felt under control the entire time.  We could not have achieved this with out Lisa's advice.  Her practical help after the birth, tidying away the birth pool and making tea was just fantastic and took the pressure off both of us."

SH - March 2010 (birth)

"Having Lisa to support me was invaluable.  I instantly felt at ease with her and relt able to ask her anything.  She gave me information to help with the final stages of pregnancy, labour and afterwards that was reassuring and practical.  Emotionally, Lisa gave me the support to believe that my second labour could be different and more positive than my first, dealing with confidence and self belief issues.  Having Lisa present meant I could focus on myself and my baby without having to worry about anything else.  I distinctly remember holding her hand and pushing, thinking "I'm safe and I'm glad Lisa's here".  I felt at ease and relaxed with Lisa when she cradled [baby] and I leant on her during the third stage of labour."
